When I drive and park. About 30 min. The car will start . Engine runs to about 500 RPM then dies. In about 15 min. it starts up . This has happened twice in one week. I have a Digital code reader . But no...

No year make or model. But, clean the throttle body inside and the idle air control motor. Mass air flow sensor if you have on. Use a brush and brake clean. But don't use a brush on the MAF sensor, just spray both sides. This should help. The car computer learns your driving habits. So if this is what you drive, 15 and 30 minutes. I would reset the computer. Pull the battery cable off the battery for 30 minutes. Puts it back to factory defaults.

Quits after warm up wont restart

sounds like you have a fuel pump problem, fuel pumps will usually get hot and then shut off allowing it to sit 30 mins lets the pump cool down allowing it to start pumping, the way you can test it is get a can of starting fluid the next time it quits raise your hood and spray some fluid down into the throttle body and if it starts and then dies it is most likely your fuel pump, hope this helps.

How to clean throttle body on 2005 gmc canyon 3.5l

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

I have 2005 Trailblazer with the inline 6, after I drive it for a while seems to idol really low and the engine has quit running a couple of times, but it started right back up?? oh yah and sometimes seems...

Have you ever cleaned the throttle body? If not, remove, clean and replace the throttle body. Make sure you disconnect the battery for at least 30 min while cleaning the throttle body. This will allow the PCM to reset itself. It will have to re-learn for the first few trips you make, but will adjust to the newly clean throttle body.

Idles good untill the ac is turned on, then engine surges for a couple of minutes and then stalls out

Your throttle body is dirty and needs to be cleaned....Buy a can of throttle body cleaner.
Now you have 2 options....you can either do a remove and replace cleaning- or you can do a semi clean.,,,simi meaning leave the TB on- but spray the cleaner in- and move the plate back and forth to dislodge the accumulated crud. either way- is your choice....
But when you clean it- disconnect the battery for at least 30 min... so that it loses any bad learned settings...good luck, i hope this helps.

You most likely have a bad fuel pump. Very common symptoms your describing, If your handy try squirting some brake cleaner into the throttle body when this happens. If it starts you now know what to do. Also be sure the battery terminals are clean. Voltage drops can cause a fuel pump not to run or run ineffeciently.

2001 gmc jimmy 4.3l.idles low and will stall when put into gear unless engine is reved up a little.

Clean the Idle air control valve (IAC), it's located by the throttle body so the best thing to do is give the throttle body a good cleaning with throttle body cleaner. Do not use carb cleaner, it's to corrosive for the gaskets used on the throttle body's. Just follow the instruction on the spray can and after your done putting everything back together. Turn the ignition key's to the run position for 10 seconds and then off for 10 seconds to reset the IAC. Start the engine and let idle for 1 min and go for a test drive. If that does not work, turn the ignition to the run position and pull the ecm(BATT) fuse out for 30 seconds and then place it back in start te engine. The engine may stall but let it, don't touch anything. Just start it again and let idle for 1 min then go for a test drive. The ECM is just relearning the sensors like the first time the jimmy was driven off the assembly line. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted be glad to get your jimmy running 100%.
