Where is the location of the fuse box for the cigarette lighter on a 1999 Lexus ES 300? (Pictures will be greatly appreciated!)

You need to check underneathe the steering in the fuse box for the lighter fuse and change it...Thats whats causing it not to work.. Its the Cig fuse.

Wow what a great prank I can pull on my boys. The fuse is number 5 rated at 15 amps. Here is a link with the electrical information that you can click on.

it would be in the interior fuse box some where near the drivers feet or door. there is a key on the cover that should say mirrors

check for burned fuses.

pull the fuse panel cover and look on the back. If not there go to mitchell on demand.

take a look the fuse box cover. it should have the location for the fuse. it is 10Amp

I had the same problem on my '97. I ended up taking out the lighter when I was replacing the LCD on the radio, only to find that somehow it had become disconnected. Not sure how it happened but it might be worth checking out to see if it wiggled loose. To get to the lighter: 1) Prior up the cover by the shifter (the one that also goes back to the seat heater). It is connected with snaps so pry slowly. 2) Once the panel is removed you will see screws that are holding in the ash tray/cig lighter. Unscrew those and the whole lighter/ash tray can be pulled out. It is also held in by snaps on the top.
