Ticking sound at start up 2002 chevy blazer - ticking started right at first start up in the morning - cold morning. turned off and checked the oil right away and it was low so added 2 quarts - started again ticking sound still there. turned off again - did not let run - should i let it warm up and see if ticking goes away? Worried about blowing engine.

Go back to where you got the work done if you can.If not then i would get the oil preasure checked as the low light tells me the preasure is below 8 psi and the ticking is from the lash adjustors at the tappets verifys low preasure too.
yes chevys 3.4 and 3.5 have common lifter noise, have you checked the oil level. I would a better oil ,and I put lucas oil treat in my customers cars after oil changes
Please keep check on the coolant level, in morning on first start when radiator is still cold open the radiator cap and rev the engine. Notice if there are bubbles and oil drops. I am suspecting head gasket leakage.
could be a defective distributor cap(crack in it allows moisture in...moisture displaces the spark from where it needs to go). You could try to replace the distributor cap and rotor.
