I have a problem with the idle on my 2005 canyon.it fluctuates between 300&550,one time it stalled going around a corner .my check engine light came on ,when i had it scaned i was told that the engine was idling to low .i was told to start by changing the spark plugs,any sugestions

have you fuel pressure check for steady pressure normally 45 to 60 lbs and steady not fluctuating.

P0700 states Trans Control system Malfuntion

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

Try to clean the throttle body out. Its not getting enough air going through. The five cylinders create a lot of carbon build up. Is your check engine light on?

check for vacom leak on engin intake

gm had problems with the valves in the cylinder head getting carbon deposites on them causing them not to seal off good should be under warrenty ask your local gm dealer

You need the idle control solenoid replaced. It is the dealer that will fix it for you.

mileage on motor?..overheating history?

I have a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado and every time i start it the car has rough Idle and the Idle fluctuate's. I also can feel it in the gas pedal when the car is doing this I tried replacing the throttle body sensor but it still does it I also was told it was the Idle error sensor. So instead of spending the unecessary money again I thought I would go online and see if anyone could help me with this problem.
