My 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe does not have back up lights. The other lights are working fine and the bulbs are new. What is causing this problem?

The transmission neutral safety/ range selector switch is what turns on the backup lights. It's on the drivers side of the transmission. two plugs going to it. It could be this or a bad wire.

2004 malibu. i have replaced license plate bulbs but they are still not working. can someone please tell me where their fuse is?

Sorry to say the license plate lights get power from the same circuit the parking lights do. So if the parking lights work, the license plate lights should have power too.

    License plate light replacement

The license plate lights are in the ledge above the license plate. 2 screws keep the lens cover in place. Remove the screws, and the cover comes off. Just pull the lamp out (wedge base) and replace.
