2004 Cavalier Wiper Motor

I my driver side wiper works fine on my 2004 2 door Chevy Cavalier. The problem is that my passager side wiper is on working at all. It is screwed on tight, so that isn't the problem. I was told that the left and right wipers have two different motors. How would I replace the motor on the passager side??? Please Help... I need to use my car!

Hi, im not sure if they would have a separate motor each because most vehicles have a linkage bar that connects the two wipers to keep them in time with each other. without the wipers on, try manually rotating the paasenger side wiper (be gentle) if that moves easily and the drivers side does not even flinch, then it could be a broken linkage. hope i helped!

After the freeze we had my driver side windshield wiper will move up just a little bit then stop I'm just wondering what it could be and how I can fix it I have a 2004 Chevy cavalier

Possible the Wiper mechanism has water that has not thawed out? Otherwise Drive motor or internal reversing switch has burned or failed.

Passenger Side Windshield Wiper Broken

Hi Jill,
The first thing to check is a 13mm nut that holds the wiper arm in place.See if you can move the wiper arm freely back and forth. There is a nut at the base of that wiper arm,Lift up a cover that is hiding the nut. If it comes loose from being froze from ice or snow. Put the wiper in its rest position and tighten the nut back up.

The passenger side wiper arm does not move. The driver's side works fine.

This minivan has just one wiper motor (and it obviously works), so the problem is after the motor.
The linkage between the wiper motor and the passenger wiper arm has come loose or lost a nut.
These wiper arm joints are under some fairly severe service conditions, and like to self-disassemble.

Here's the 2004 Sienna wiring diagram - enlarge to discern.

2003 Chevy Cavalier - Driver side wiper doesn't work

Likely broke the nylon bushing cap on the left side wiper transmission assembly. Best as I can tell, the cap is not replaceable so replacement of the assembly is required. These are available new AC Delco p/n 19120840 about $75, or on ebay used for about $35. ACDelco 19120840 Windshield Washer Transmission Kit. Goold luck, mine's broke too!

Driver's side windshield wiper stopped working duing a heavy rain. I can move it by hand easily. Has the linkage come loose?

Hello, I would say that is exactly what has happened. If you can move the wipers with no resistance it's likely one of the bolts has come loose. Both wiper arms are linked to one wiper motor.

Windshield wiper driver's side went limp wind

THe wind doesn't just push the power arm off, it must be broken and will need be replaced, You need to check if the actuall bracket that holds the arm is broken as well. It has teeth on it which when the arm is put on it lock in place with a clip

Driver side wiper not working!

its a small, white plastic "nut" on the wiper transmission arm- find one in a junkyard-snap it in and you can solve it for 2 bucks-takes about 10 minutes to do. Cant get the part separately without buying the entire transmission, which you dont want to do- common problem with cavaliers and sunfires of this year.

On a 2004 Cavalier when I turn on the wiper full blast it works fine But when its on slow or delay it pulsates and doesn't stop in the proper place.

Chances are good that the wiper motor is the issue. The "park" mode for your wipers is controlled by the motor.
