I suggest you pick up the manual for the 97-98 models. They are very different on interior designs and procedures. and i've seen many mechanics change the core without the dash completely removed, but typically it's more then 4-5 inches.

When replacing a water pump , should you replace the thermostat,& housing?

Since you have it off, it would make perfect sense to change it. If the water pump is leaking or is bad for another reason, thermostats also have a lifespan and, unless replaced within the last couple of years, just change it for preventative maintenance's sake. Depending on what year your truck is, the new pumps have been upgraded to solve some inherent problems. The early pumps on LS series engines had, I believe, a 2-bolt thermostat housing and the later pumps have a 3-bolt housing, so you have to change the thermostat/housing. The thermostat and housing are a combined unit and can't be separated. It seems that the cheapest part is the original AC-Delco. Most auto parts suppliers are smart about this and don't even carry an aftermarket part. The new O.E.M. AC-Delco waterpumps used to come with the stat/housing already bolted to the pump.

Will a 96,97 year,clutch kit fit a 95 year model?

clutches are measured in clutch plate diameter. Unless there is a significant increase in power in engine between years then there is a good chance that the clutch kits will fit . In your case you are going down in years so the only thing to stop you is the clutch plate diameter . I am inclined to think that it will. Check the kit numbers in the spare parts shops
looking on the net an EXcedy clutch kit toyota rav 4 1994-2005--- sxa10r, sxa11r. That tells me that it is the same clutch kit

2008 Toyota Tacoma V6 Would the AC drain hose drip water onto the frame even if the AC was not used?

If there was a partial blockage in the drain at the ac box it is possible that water will still drip out over time . However some Toyota ac units use the same box for the heater core so I would be looking for a coolant leak in that area . Check coolant level and have a pressure test done on the coolant system to check for the leak. If the drain is in the frame under the car ,the water may be also from the windscreen plenum chamber that collects water from the windscreen and drains in that area.

05 nissan maxima making a loud noise when the heater or the AC turns on but the heater and AC works need help

-Depend on what sound like...? It could be loose fan, some object hang in to the fan, or dry leave or may be some thing stuck inside the fan's housing.
-You can open from the inside and check. If find some thing, remove and turn on to find out still any noise before closed.

Good Luck

What do I need to do to replace evaporator of air condition of 1999 toyota rav4

You need to remove the entire dash assembly. You will need a factory service manual and specialty equipment to recover the AC system charge and then recharge the AC system. You will also need a factory repair manual, you can download here for a small fee.

Condensate leaking on passenger side from ac

The drain tube from the evaporator housing is most likely plugged up. With the vehicle in the air locate the drain tube on the passenger side of the firewall and using coat hanging or something similar carefully snake it through it Be careful as a lot of water may pour out and don't go crazy poking with the coat hanging as the evaporator core is at the other end of the tube.

Hey i have a 1990 geo storm thats alittle tore up their is a house haging down from from the radiator fan that has been severd could anyone tell me where this house is supposed to go its small not even 1/4...

Hmm if it is a mouse house you can just throw it in the garbage.
radiator fans are not supposed to have any hoses hanging from them. radiators sometimes have a overflow hose hanging from them and thats normal. Sometimes, most of the time, the over flow hose goes to an overflow container. some people throw those away and let the hose hang. Probably not a good idea.

New serpentine belt, it broke, I think the AC compressor hangs up

You can Do this. The only Problem is Getting a Shorter Belt to Replace the One that you have. The only Resolution for this is to get a few Different Sizes and Try them. Make Sure that the Place you Buy them from Will take them Back if they do not Work. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
