License plate lamp doesn't work after replacing

On a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica the license plate lamp still doesn't work after replacing the bulb? What other problem could there be? Is this lamp tied in with the towing lamps fuse or is there another fuse panel I don't know about?

Have you checked for power at the socket? But most vehicles do have 2-3 fuse panels; in different locations.

What type of license plate socket fuse do i need to replace

Hello Juani Ornelas,

just a Scientific Wild Guess...

Most likely you are NOT looking at a FUSE FAILURE.

There is NOT a separate fuse for your license.

Free drawings are available at the BBB Industries site below.

You are looking for a bad sockette either electrically joined together ... it is a bulb or socket issue...!!

Tag light is not working. is there a fuse that will get the light turned back on?

The fuse labeled REAR PARK LP 15A in the right instrument panel fuse box powers the rear park lamps, and the tag lamps. If your rear park lamps are working then you most likely need to replace the tag lamps (bulbs). Use the following procedure to replace the lamps.

To Remove:
  1. Remove the two mounting screws from the license plate lamp.
  2. Remove the license plate lamp from the rear bumper fascia.
  3. Remove the license plate lamp socket by turning it counterclockwise.
To Install:
  1. Install the license plate lamp socket by turning it clockwise.
  2. Position the license plate lamp to the rear bumper fascia.
  3. Install the license plate lamp mounting screws.
