Yes it is if you have all the right tools and equipment. You will need a good set of jack stands to support the car. You wil also need a good floor jack with a transmission adaptor or a transmission jack. The driveshafts will have to be removed and that requires the removal of the axle nuts. They are held on by LOTS of torque and an air impact hammer is needed or a large socket with a long breaker bar for leverage. you also have to seperate the lower ball joint to move the hub assembly for axle removal, this calls for a special tool called a "pickle fork" or ball joint seperator.
As you can tell, it involves some special tools and equipment. If you don't use these tools often, then the cost of them might be more than what a garage charges to do the job. Places that do just clutch jobs (Like clutch masters) might be the best bet for the price.
Well, first of all, whats the cause of the problem?
Lets go out warm up your car, get it nice in hot in there. Turn off the heat and feel around the edges of the windshield for a draft, if so, the seal around the windshield is gone.
I had this problem with my Neon, and the windshield was my first thought. The simply answer was that my floors were wet, when I turned on my heat, the water on the floors evaporated and then condensed on the windshield. Is this possible for your situation?
