Sounds like a temparature sensor problem - mixture is too rich to start hot. try starting it with full throttle - if it will start after 15 seconds of full throttle and cranking the temp sensor is definitely at fault - you wont flood the engine doing this only give more air to the engine.
is the battery hot when this happens?
you could have either a damaged battery or overcharging alternator if the battery gets hot or is swollen...
Possibly the temp sensor is giving a very high reading and thinking it is overheating thus disabling the ignition till it cools down.
Do what is nessesary to make the engine refuse to start
then Try disconnecting both temp sensors wires and then starting the car,
there are 2 sensors, one bolted into the head and one near the thermostat. - they have one wire with a female connector attasched to them, the sensor has a male spade connector. if it starts without the sensors connected try one sensor at a time to find out which one the engine wont run with (the faulty one)
if it still wont start with both sensors disconnecteds then you will have to run diagnostics at a garage.

Let me add more. When you turn ignition, the seloniod and starter do not engage. This happens after the the car has been driven for about an hour and turned off. If you try to restart the starter doesn't engage.
We'll try and let you know what happens
