My 1993 Chevy 350 fuel injected pickup just quit

My 1993 Chevy 350 fuel injected pickup just quit running, I have been told it sounds like it could be the fuel pump, could it be something more simple that I need to check first?

Fuel pumps in these are not easy to change.

1. Attempt to start truck using cheap carb spray. If it starts them look into the fuel system. If it still fails to start you have an ignition issue.

Pointers:

  • With you positioned under the truck so you can hear the fuel pump running when it is turned on, have someone cycle the key on. You should hear a humming sound coming from the fuel tank. This should go for about 5 seconds and quit.

Check to see if there is any power getting to the fuel pump, if there is 12 volts going to the fuel pump then replace the pump, if there is no voltage present, the problem could be the fuel pump relay, a fuse, or a break in the wiring.

My 93 chevy pickup has went threw 3 throttle bodies and we even put a carborator on it and now its dieing out like it is fluuding wont stay running

My friend sounds to me like you have a fuel flow problem 1st off that should be fuel injected witch means your fuel pump is in the tank. make sure that it it runs 2nd make sure fuel filter is not pluged or that there are no holes in the fuel line not quite sure what you have done since you have chosen to go the carburetor way of things

Where is the fuel filter located on a Chevy Mark 3 Van 350 motor/20

If it is fuel injected, it is an inline filter found underneath, along the frame rail. If it is carbureted, it is screwed in the carburetor where the fuel line enters it (intake fuel filter nut)

I ran out of gas in my 1993 chevy silverado 350 now its running like hesitant and sputtering , how can i fix this problem

1st check the Fuel Pressure. Often times a fuel injection system fuel Pump ran dry, can more or less implode, the suction becomes too strong and ruins the diaphragm, thus causing low-to-no pressure. faulty fuel pumps can run just slightly under the fuel injection systems Low tolerance, causing the issues that you have mentioned. this is not 100% the answer just a good place to start. Low fuel pressure= change fuel filter, still low pressure= fuel pump. The cheap carport mechanic method would be to change filters first, if the have been changed recently, move toward replacing the Fuel Pump. (some pump are located in the fuel tank, if yours is not your in luck!)

04 CHEVY PICKUP 350 5.7 IT IDLES FINE GIVE IT GAS IT SPUTTER AND STALLS OUT

sounds like fuel starvation. Check the fuel filter. Check the fuel pressure if it's fuel injected Check the float level if it's carburetted Clean out the float chamber and jets while your checking the float level and don't forget the needle valve Check the fuel pressure regulator these quick simple checks are a good starting point..

87 chevy 350 fuel injected pickup wont run smoothly. Will start fine when cold and run for a few minutes then will be rough idle before finally quitting. I have replaced the distrubuter, coil, plugs, plug...

sounds like your egr valve is gummed up or bad. this is located behind the throttle body and has a single vaccum tube connected to it. if the diafram is still good you can remove it and clean it with WD 40 until the plunger works smooth
