997 Nissan Maxima - clock is dark, switched fuse but still dark. How can I remove the clock for replacement?

There is no separate fuse for the clock. Most things are either included under the instrument cluster or accessories fuse.

fuse for clock is located in your kick panel. this is located on the side of your foot pedals.

turn up the dimmer switch. sound like its down at low setting.

most of the time its ran off a constant hot wire not switched so it should be like a cigarette lighter fuse

I have a 94 maxima and almost every time I had an electrical issue it was not the device, or the fuse, but the relay!

You have a 95 - which is the next generation maxima so don't know it will apply to your car. Almost all my relays were just to the right of the fuses - I had to remove a panel to access it (just remove a few screws).

To find out which one you can swap relays as long as the match (look at the picture on top of the relay). Go to www.maxima.org - it is a great resource.

cover on side of fuse panel will need to be open to remove a 8mm bolt & 10 mm bolt on other side

lol, i think it is that your dimmer switch is all the way down or bad. as simple as it seems, that is really what it sounds like. try messing with it.
