The themomitor on the warning signs keeps flashing. i don't no what it means as i don't have then manuel!

The thermometer image has 2 meanings

1- check your heat gauge the temp might be too high

2- check your coolant level

In your case it is most probably your coolant level.

Top it up with normal water and have it checked out, it must be leaking coolant somewhere.

the coolant bottle is the big round one that looks like a ball with a blue or black flat cap.

My 1998 saturn sl2 overheated temp gauge was only on half mark and its only 9 degrees outside heater never warmed up

Check your coolant level. Most causes of no heat are low coolant levels or blocked heater cores. If it overheated and has no heat I'll beat its a low coolant level. Check for leaks. Just because the gauge didn't go all the way up doesn't mean much. Those cars trap air in the cooling systems when the level gets low. That will cause those problems. Check for leaks and if a repair is made I also recommend a termistat.

Car will not heat. Blows out cold air

Firstly check the coolant level when the engine is cool. If fluid is at correct level then more then likely thermostat is stuck open. Have coolant system flushed before installing new thermostat. Also check water pump to make sure it is not leaking out of the weep hole.

1997 Hyundai Elantra has heat but temp gauge does not rise.

If the coolant is below a certain level, the temperature sensor will not read anything and the temp gauge will not rise. Replace the cap, and check that you have enough coolant in the system. If this does not solve the problem, you will need to test/troubleshoot the coolant temperature sensor.

94 bmw 318iC Heater not working

1st thing to check is the coolant level. Low coolant level results in no, or little heat (not enough coolant to circulate thru the heater core). What does your engine temp gauge indicate? (or is it just a warning light?) If the car is running at what appears to be lower than normal temp., u may have a thermostat that's stuck open. This would cause the engine to not reach operating temp, and u would not have heat. Check the above 2 items 1st, then let me know what u found. If that doesn't fix it, we will continue, let's do the easy and not too expensive stuff 1st!
