Hi i have a 2000 2.5ltr v6 kia carnival need the camshaft belt

Try Google /year,motorsize and type of car ,model etc.

Recheck position marks on the belt.

Here is a picture that should help you, it also has the timing mark positions which I hope will be useful.

As you haven\'t stated the year or your engine size or if diesel or petrol, I cant be bothered to look it up. But just in case this helps it is for a Carnival up 2009 2.0 K5 KV6 engine, (in the UK I have no idea what the J3 engine is) the only other information I have is the second pic for the 2.9 crdi KJ engine. Hope it helps

Crankshaft match marks


Align marks on timing belt pulley and pump body.

Camshaft pulley alignment marks

1. Align marks on camshaft pulleys with alignment marks on seal plate.
2. Install timing belt. NOTE: No looseness should exist on the tension side and at the camshaft pulleys.
   
3. Loosen tensioner lock bolt.
4. Turn crankshaft 2 revolutions in direction of rotation and check that timing marks are still in alignment.
5. Tighten timing belt tension lock bolt to 27-38 ft lb (32-52 Nm).
6. Apply a force of 22 lbs to timing belt between camshaft sprockets.
7. Belt deflection should measure 0.30-0.33 in (7.5-8.5 mm)

1. NOTE: Replace tensioner spring if timing belt deflection is excessive.
2. Timing Belt Installation
   

1. Install lower timing belt cover.
2. Install upper timing belt cover.
3. Install power steering drive belt and adjust belt tension.
4. Install fan pulley.
5. Install generator drive belt and adjust belt tension.
6. Install A/C drive belt and adjust belt tension.
7. Install splash guard.
8. Install fan and fan shroud.
9. Install 4 fan bolts. Tighten to 24 ft lb (33 Nm).
10. Install fan shroud mounting bolts.
11. Install fresh air duct.
12. Connect hose to resonance chamber.
13. Connect battery negative cable.

Below are the procedures to remove the timing belt...

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.


2. Loosen power steering lock bolts and nuts accordingly and remove tension from power steering (P/S) and/or air conditioning (A/C) compressor drive belt. 3. Remove P/S and/or A/C drive belt.



4. Loosen generator mounting bolts and adjusting bolt. 5. Remove generator bolts.




6. Remove water pump pulley.




7. Remove crankshaft pulley and timing belt guide plate.






8. Remove upper and lower timing belt covers.





9. Turn crankshaft so that timing mark on timing belt pulley is aligned with timing mark on engine.







10. Check that "I" mark on intake camshaft pulley is aligned with mark on cylinder head cover and "E" mark on exhaust camshaft pulley is aligned with mark on cylinder head cover.


Do not move camshaft or crankshaft once timing marks have been correctly positioned.







11. Loosen tensioner pulley lock bolt.
12. Protect timing belt with a rag.
13. Remove tensioner pulley.




14. Remove timing belt.

7. Turn crankshaft clockwise until "I" mark on intake camshaft pulley and "E" mark on exhaust camshaft pulley align with marks on cylinder head cover.
