No reset for that!! check your oil pump pressure with a gauge and insure you have a working oil pump also check the oil filter to make sure the internal check valve isnt stuck! or the filter clogged or worn rod/main bearings

Why do i hear a dinging sound when apply brakes on 1996 dodge grand caravan ??

Noise is caused by brakes wearing. Either brakes shoes are worn, disc is out of round. Sound you hear is metal rubbing on metal, never a good sound. Contact auto repair or brake shop for repairs immediately

1996 dodge grand caravan , hear a ding ding ding when pressing brake, no warning lights , whats causing that ?

Safety systems can be surprising...my first inspection would be to check the fluid level in your brake master cylinder...the warning light may not be working...Hope this helps.

I just had an oil change two days ago. tonight, after 815 miles on the road to fl. our oil light came on along with this annoying dinging. we checked the oil and it is fine, what can it be and any quick...

Good Evening there are a few different things that can be the culprit. First off it could be the oil pressure sending unit, which is a good possibility or the oil pump. Either way the best way to find out is to go to the local parts store and get a mechanical oil pressure gauge and screw it in where the oil pressure sending unit goes most sensors fail however if working the light will come on below 5 or 7lbs of pressure. That is the best place to start. Hope this helps and remember if you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan and the oil gauge light dings when I slow down or stop. How can I fix this?

Your oil gage is telling you your engine is showing signs of wear / aging. (Possible wear on the main bearings, connecting rod, and camshaft bearings) Your idle may now be lower than it should be. Or your oil sending unit is failing. Or... the oil pump iself is not performing as it once did. Or the Oil pump pick up tube in the oil pan is clogging up. Have you tired a direct pressure reading of the oil pressure? If the direct pressure gage indicates same as your oil light then everything listed above will have to be checked to determine exactly what it is that needs fixing.

I need to change the oil sending unit on my 1998 Grand Caravan

no,you don't drain oil, depending on which engine you have it is usually beside the oil filter,it just screws in the block.

Oil light comes on

this is an oil pressure light, most likely the sending unit for the gauge is defective, but I do recommened a shop hook up a oil press test gauge and verify u do't really have low oil pressure, then if that tests ok replace the sending unit on the engine.
