Either both bulbs are bad(I've seen it before) or your
dimmer/headlight switch is bad. If you can without pulling the bulb, pull plug from the light. If it's a 4 lamp system pull the low beam. Do this on the left side as the right feeds from the left. With a 12v test light, check for power. (with lo beam on) if you have
power, change the lamp, if you don't it's most likly
the dimmer switch at the steering collum.
Hope this helps Good luck

john, i've replaced the bulbs, dimmerswitch cluster on collumn, relay and fuses. i still do not have power at the fuse block under hood for either dim light fuse.

1983 gmc vandura 3500 high beam switch clicks but will not switch to low beam is there a relay for this other then colum switch

It's my understanding, the headlamp switch sends voltage to dimmer switch. The info that I looked at, the tan wire is voltage for low beam, if no voltage, check for problem with dimmer switch, and wiring circuit.

Why do my all my lights work on my 2001 GMC jimmy except my low beams.

Replace the turn signal switch. All the exterior lights run threw it except the high brake light. There is a small plastic clip/switch in it that controls high and low setting. Because of heat it starts to melt and quits working.

Low beams stopped working but all other lights work

Need to have an electrical shop determine what is wrong.

It could be a fuse for the low beam headlamps that has blown,
or a relay has been overheated.

Check that the bulbs for the low beam aren't blown out, possibly
simultaneously.

Low Beam headlights don't work. High Beam work fine and diriving lights work as well.

hi from uk provided you have checked bulbs are ok? then this fault may be the relay for the low /dipped beam has gone faulty if you check h/book you may find location of low beam relay there is relay for high and one for low beams if you find both relays ? try switching? this will confirm relay fault if you then have low beam but no high ? b4 you buy new relay other than tis the other possible fault may be the actual di/high beam stick control ?
