U dont as tneubauer and emissionwis state dangerous to be fooling around with airbag system if light on have vehicle scanned some auto store such as auto zone / advanced auto scan for free the code can give u a place to start -but unless ur a tech who has dealt with air bags dont mess around with connections or even dash -bring to auto tech or dealer for repairs-- with light on driving can be hazardous because bag or bags can deploy

You do not "disconnect" the airbag light. Fooling with this system can cause the air bags to deploy. The proper way to handle this is to read the codes (via scantool) and remedy the system faults. At this point I would assume your airbag system is inoperative, but that does not mean that the bags can not deploy.

How to disconnect airbag light on 2011 kia Sorrento

Disconnect batery! Look under the steering column for a thick yellow wire that goes into or follows the column up to the steering wheel! This is the air bag wire! Trace this wire till you find the connection! Remove locking clip and disconnect! This will disable the air bag in the steering wheel! As for the air bag light you will have to scan the computer because there are multiple bags on a car and multiple sensors! If any of these are malfunctioning you will get a light! The light will only go out if bad part is pinpointed and replaced! Make shure you have removed the power supply and static charge from your self as I've seen these things go off when a static charge is created like draging your feet on carpet and then tuching a light switch! Actuall seen a fluorescent light bulb flicker when off from the zap at the switch! Good luck! Be carefull!!

Air bag light bulb change

Airbag SENSOR light bulb? Do you mean the airbag system warning lamp in the instrument cluster?

That all depends on the YEAR and MODEL of your Lincoln. (which you did not mention)

Some newer vehicles have LED's that are an integral part of the instrument cluster. If those go out, you must replace the entire cluster to fix it. Otherwise, the instrument cluster must be removed so the bulb can be replaced.

2006 Mini. Air Bag light for child in seat stays on. Sensor bad in seat $900. Only thing that rides in seat is dog. Is there way to dx switch ? Simply find connection under seat or will this leave open...

With mini's you can get the error code if you use a scan tool. Some shops would let you borrow one. Once you have retrieve the error code you can accurately diagnose the problem The error however does not necessarily the part related to the code is faulty. There could be problems with the wiring or the connectors.
The air bag light has its own bulb but it is installed in one panel. Removing the light would of course would prevent the indicator to light up.
In some cases wiring was disturbed under the seat causing the problem sometimes if the seat was vacuumed underneath. A disconnected sensor would cause the light to turn on.

1998 Ford Explorer beeping noise in right front dash why?

The Air Bag module will sound the tone generator if it is having a problem turning on the air bag light. Check for a burned out bulb, loss of power to the bulb from the fuse panel, or open circuit between the bulb and the air bag module. Try replacing the airbag light bulb.

Front Drivers side headlight only out, can the bulb be replaced?

Yes, the bulb can be replaced. There are some precautions you must take. It is recommended that whenever you work on the dash, steering column, or the front of the vehicle near the air bag impact sensors, that you disconnect the negative battery cable, and wait for at least 2 minutes before proceeding. This is of course, to eliminate the possibility that you activate the air bags accidentally . Open the hood, over the headlight assembly you will find 3 screws that you will remove (they attach the headlight module to the radiator support panel) Pull out the headlight module and disconnect the electrical connectors. Do NOT touch the new bulb with your hands. Wear gloves while handling the bulb and installing it. If you get any oils from your fingers or skin on the bulb, the bulb will overheat where you touched it, and burn out very early, so you can't touch it. Good luck!

1999 ford f150, air bag light flashes 27 what

The PAD ( Passenger Airbag Deactivation ) light is inoperable.

Could be unpluged if you have been working around there, or the bulb could be out.

Radio shack sells the same type bulb, if you are good with soldering it is an easy fix.

Disconnect driver side air bag to work on power window

The side impact air bag in the door? Unhook the battery. Wait 5 minutes, then unbolt it and unplug it. It will be fine. Don't hook up the battery with the air bag unplugged to test the window, it will set a trouble code and the air bag light will be on until you go to the dealer and have it reset. Just make sure before you hook the battery back up the airbag is bolted back in place and plugged in.
