My chrysler 2002 town and country will not change gears. The RPMs stay at 2 or 3 when going 40 mph. What do I do?

Otherwise you may need professional inspection to save the transmission. Also could be bad linkage and or bushings on the linkage to the transmission. Could be a similar problem with the shift lever itself, or an adjustment problem.

most likely it will fit unless the manufacturer changed the application that year but its not likely suoldnt be a problem

sounds like the transmission is slipping and not engaging the next gear. could have a bad gear or the hydrualic transmission isnt matching up the gears

Safety neutral switch o.k.? Tried moving shifter through all gears while holding key in start position?

Sounds like a bad pump or converter. You need to check line pressure.

I read this over and over on these vans, same problem, you will need to have the trans overhauled to correct this problem, a $3000 job on this particular car.

try having the transmission module re-flashed.

Your transmission is not shifting into overdrive, it is staying in 3rd gear. I have the same problem.
