Skoda Octavia Ambiente 2004 1.9 tdi, automatic gear: Problem1: board alarm, Glow plug system remains on at starting and contiune to flush in running. Engine starts hardly second or third time. Problem2: board alarm, Control system from exhaust remains on in running; Problem3: in running, Engine oil pressure to low sensor appears and in 30 sec the engine stops. After 5 min the engine can be restarted, but alarm is repeating after 5 km. After changing the oil only problems 1 and 2 occurs.

Now skoda starts very hard after more than 6-7 hours of not running. I supose that there is no more diesel in the engine (it leaks very slow from somewhere) and I want to add a unique sens valve on the hose food after the fuel filter, to stop the fuel to comes back into the tank. Is it a good solution? What else did you recommend? Thanks again.

I think isn't European model, since I have bought the car in Saudi Arabia serial: TMBCG11U..., ALH engine, I'll change today the fuel filter, the oil and the oil filter (if the parts will arrive in time). Should I add a diesel additive to clean the injectors? I have STOP type. Diesel fuel here isn't as clean as in Europe. Thank you.

Problem one is the timer control for the heaters ,also check the heaters that they are working ,oil problem ? look under the rubber boot that goes over the oil switch ,pull it back and if oil under the cover renew the oil switch, these motors do suffer from heater light flashing on and i know people have spent megabucks trying to cure it ,its a fault with dash and printed circuits ,but the heaters are not coming on i know because i have driven one with the heater circuit light coming on and i had a extended light on a long wire and the heaters are not coming on ,ignore it just renew the faulty glow plugs,as for EGR valve just pull teh vacumn pipe off the ERG valve and leave disconnect ,more hassle than its worth changing it ,you could end up with a ECU computer .Still a nice reliable motor though and economical

Testimonial: "Thanks for your usefull answer. Afer I stop the engine 2 times from EGR valve, both board alarms have been reseted. What does it mean? Thanks again."

nice car a skoda ,2004 so its common rail and whats happening is a valve in the pump on the common rail injector where it draws the fuel up is defective and its allowing the fuel to run back to the tank ,quick solution is is to fit a non return valve in the in side and one on the return that will cure your problem and its cheaper than having the high pressure injector pump overhauled
