While driving my saab, alot of warning lights came and stalls

While driving my saab, alot of warning lights came on, and my headlights started dimming. Shortly my car stalled, and just wouldnt start, seems like battery is dead. Also all electronics in car barely working as if from drained battery. Is it a faulty alternator, cause i read that without proper voltage fuel system wont work. Its the same issues with car not starting as if battery was dead, barely cranking over. Also jumping car wont keep it on for long, 1 mile and car stalls again with same ''dead battery'' symptom

Alternator gone bad, 100%. as the voltage starts dropping, all the lights on the dash will go crazy because the electronics cannot perform their self diagnostics, as they do not have sufficient voltage.

Saab one headlight won't turn off when I turn if the ignition the light remains on. Only the driver side head light

Some cars leave a light on if you switch off with the indicator/turn light left on. Put the stalk to the "OFF" position and see if it goes out.

2001gmc jimmy starts and stalls security light stays on

The security light has one job, it warns you that there is a "break" or "miscommunication" in your antitheft system. This is why the Jimmy keeps stalling. The antitheft system cuts the power to the injectors (It's thinking it is protecting itself from theft) and the vehicles stalls in 5 seconds or less after starting. They are also known to stall while driving. Followed by the security light. The SECURITY light will either flash or stay on solid. A solid light normally indicates a bad Theft Deterrent Module, this is the brain of the whole system. Go to this link, it has alot of info stuff that should help you out.

9-3 Saab stalls while driving on freeway without warning and after drifting to side put in park starts right back up and drives

The problem may be a dirty throttle body. Clean the throttle body with a recommended cleaner and you might want to add some injector cleaner to your gas tank. You may also want to check your vacuum hoses and make sure they are in good repair. I hope this helps. Good luck.

1995 Saab 900 Same problem with stalls dies no warning

It appears to me to be more of a loose or damaged battery or ground connection, either on the battery, the starter, or a power wire somewhere. Next time you have dim lights, get under the hood and wiggle wires around, to see if you can get them to brighten up. When you do hit the right wire, you'll find the problem.

Wont start when warm

If no lights (including headlights) come on at all and the car won't turn over you need to make sure the battery cable connections are clean and tight. If you meant you don't get any warning lights on the dash then I would guess your mechanics are wrong (it probably isn't having the staring problem when they are looking at it) about not getting spark. Replace the crank position sensor as it can cause that no hot start problem and it will get worse to where the car stalls when hot and won't restart. A new crank position sensor should solve your problem. Get a few quotes before replacing it because some garages overcharge for working on SAAB's.

Saab 95 headlights dont work high work and drive lights stay on

IF THE BULBS ARE OK CHECK THE HEADLIGHT MODULE(IT LOOKS LIKE A RELAY, ORANGE CASE I THINK) TRY WIGGLING IT,IM PRETTY SURE THATS IT. THEY GO BAD ALOT ON SAABS. IT SHOULD BE IN THE ENGINE CONPARTMENT

Stalling engine when lights are turned on/erratic idling

It sounds like you have a short somewhere in your electrical system going to your lights. I would check for and wires being accidentally cut or even perhaps melted through. If you have no luck there, you may end up having to take the vehicle to a shop that specializes in electrical troubleshooting. I'd lay odds on a short in the wiring going to the headlights, though. Hope this helps and have a great day!
