I believe yours is in the middle right of the dash. Under it. If so, then your in for a treat. Most of the dash has to come out to remove it. Get a manual, you'll need it.

What is the Procedure for removal of the radiator fan from the Mercury Mystique(1996 model)

I had the same problem with my Mystique. It ended up being a plug on the top side of the fuse box. The plug had overheated and melted, causing a bad contact to the circuit. Start by pulling the fuse box out from under the dash. It is modular and will just unplug from the circuits. Look for a burnt spot or overheated wires. We found a new plug at a junk yard.

Where do you put water in a 1996 mercury mystique. I can't tell where the radiator is. I only see the coolant container

If you fill up the coolant container it will get into the radiator if it is low. If your radiator is completely empty remove the highest hose on the engine and fill through the top of the motor. Otherwise the coolant container is the only place to add coolant. Hope that helps!
