I have a 2004 Honda Accord LX. The radio keeps going off and on

I have a 2004 Honda Accord LX. The radio keeps turning off and on when the car is off. I turn the radio off but the backlight keeps going on & off and runs down my battery. Nobody seems to have a clue as to what could cause this. Any suggestions?

My 2003 Accord LX does the same thing. It started about 6mo ago and it becomes more and more often. I just went outside to kick the off from inside the wheel wells and the stereo came on.

The radio/cd player in my 2005 Accord LX intermittently stops playing with a loud pops or spakings. I saw a note on your web site from a 2004 Honda accord owner who experenced the same problem. I was...

I got this issue with my 1995 Accord LX. Took months to get to the problem. It was two bad spark plugs, both plugs were misfiring - one at a time. But once awhile both plugs misfired at the same time and the radio "reset" - like it was turned off - no sound. (Gasoline smell too.) New plugs? Good luck.

In my 2004 Honda Accord the radio flashes on and off when the car is off. Thus, running the battery down. Is this anything you've ever heard of before.

No. Unplug the radio fuse to keep it from back feeding through car. Then take radio in for repair when you have time.

I need the radio code for Honda Accord 2004 LX Chassis no. 068627

The unique way to find this (if you dont have the Owners Manual), is visiting your dealer and ask for this code; keep in mind that the "SEC CODE"is unique for each car, so, anyone could send you in this way (Internet).

Hope helps.

My radio and c/d player will just shut off out of

There is a factory default with the radio circuit board in radios installed in 2003-2004 Honda Accords. Honda will replace or repair the radio free of charge on and extended warranty. The radio will eventually fail for good. I know, as the one in my 2004 Accord failed in March of this year. My Honda dealer replaced the radio with a reconditioned unit absolutely free. Contact you local Honda dealer.
