on certain models wires--modules--relays gain resistence from wear-then heatup--try driving no more then an hour-then coolit a few hrs--get to a electric specialist soon n lettum run a data stream to pinpoint

COULD BE FAULTY DRL HEAD LIGHT RELAYS OR FAULTY DIMMER SWITCH.SINCE HEADLIGHTS TURN ON AUTOMATIC.TRY USING MANUAL HEAD LIGHT SWITCH ON TURN SIGNAL SWITCH LEVER SEE IF HEADLIGHTS STAY ON IF LIGHTS STAYS ON YOU HAVE FAULTY DRL HEADLIGHT RELAY.IF LIGHTS STILL FLICKER OFF.YOU HAVE BAD DIMMER SWITCH.

Check the air filter, replace it if it's dirty. Also if you haven't replaced the fuel filter it may be time.

time for a new computer.
my 95 bonneville did the same thing.
starts fine runs like new but will shut off can restart but will keep doing same thing.
put in new puter and runs like new.
make sure you remove the metal plate and the chip from the old puter and save the plate and screws for the new one.
most are rebuilt by cardone they are good.

Fill the radiater completly then sart the car and let it warm up.After it starts putting heat out of the defroster the top up the rad and let it run a few more minutes then shut it off.Wait about a minute,top up ther rad and put the cap back on,then restart and top up the overfvlow bottle.

Hello! When you swapped the engine, did you have the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) from the new motor as well? If not - you will need to have a "CASE" learn run on the PCM that you're currently using (the one from your previous engine). Important note: the 1997 Grand Prix GT's and GTP's have quite a few differences from the 98-03's. The CASE procedure is run using the Tech II tool and can be done at any dealership in about 10 minutes. If they aren't sure what that is, suggest to them that they follow the procedure for DTC 1336 - Crankshaft Position (CKP) System Variation Not Learned. :)

These cars have a body control module which could be faulty,have a mechanic check this out.

This is a known issue for your model and for GrandAm's. Best to take it to your dealer.

or starter relay.

Try checking the starter solenoid wires.Make sure the wire hasnt come loose and the battery to solenoid cable is tight.
