I have my check engine light on...flashes the code 13. we have changed the crank sensor thinking that was the issue because the hertz reader says its bad. check enging light is still on. The next step would be to change the timing belt and test the cam sensors.
has anyone heard of the timing belt throwing a check enging light before because it may have jumped teeth or been stretched????
I have a 1992 Ls 400 and I changed the timing belt and my power was reset as well as everything else,so I would change the timing belt and make sure you line up everything on it's marks are you will encounter the same issue.
I have the same problem with my 94 LS, its getting fixed now. The camshaft sensor is telling the computer that the timing is off, meaning your timing belt is either jumping or missing teeth, or it may be going bad. It is a very big job, so I suggest replacing the belt, water pump, tensioner, and maybe the seals and pulleys as well. Are you at a lost of power, has you car ever cut off at a stop red light or when driving?
