Using the key in the door lock should open the doors even if the central locking does not work. There is a deadbolt system in the doors (set by using the key) that makes it difficult to get in. You probably have not used this though.

Drivers door and fuel cap not locking with central locking have to lock door with key also fuel cap does not lock all other doors lock and open with central locking drivers door opens with central locking

Hello Alan,

I would suspect the fuel flap actuator has failed. Open the trunk. In the right rear corner is the access cover. Open it and you'll see some insulation matting near the top. Behind it is a fuse/relay carrier, I believe either fuse 55 or 56 is blown. If so the fuel flap actuator needs replaced. The fuse also controls the central locking system.

Central locking not working only drivers door opening whats wrong

Locks need to be resync'd. Lock doors at drivers side, go around to pass side unlock & relic 2-3 times. If you can't do from pass door then try trunk lock. If sync doesn't take, then one of your actuators are bad and I'd have BMW look at it or a good BMW specialty shop.

Central locking does not work on my BMW 320D SE model

hi

there is a motor placed inside the doors for the operation of the central lockin system. when you open the door by key this motos is activated and all door locks are released. your problem may because of this motor is failed.

cause of the failure
1.the wire going to the motor may be chopped off.
2.the junction box connecting the wires may be damaged.
3.fuse may be blown out.
4.motor itsef damaged.

so please check weather power is coming to the motor using multi meter. if the power is not coming to it then the problem is with the wires. if the power is coming to it then problem is with the motor.

i suggest you to take to BMW because you need to remove the door pannel its better if they do it.

Central locking in my bmw 320 diesel isnt working it wont open the doors but it will start the engine , the spare key is the same so its not the battery of the keys

Providing central locking works when you insert key in lock, try programming keys
Enter car make sure all doors/windows are shut
Switch ignition on and off, remove key
PRESS AND HOLD UNLOCK BUTTON ON KEY
Press lock button on key 3 times whithin 10 seconds and release unlock
Central locking will lock/unlock rapidly to confirm reset
If your key is the type with bmw logo in the middle battery replacement is not possible,as it charges as you drive

Central Locking comes in and out.

Electrical problem. Have it checked from the fuse area right to the doors.
