I have the same problem, not sure, but I think it is related to my headlight switch. My windshield leaks and the switch has water damage. Check at your trailer light harness to see if you have power there, it runs off a separate circuit/fuse.

06 Silverado interior lights don't work when open doors dome light work on switch can't find fuse

If the lights work on the switch then you have tested the fuse. The fuse is listed in the owner's manual. Is this problem true for all four (or two) doors? None turn on the interior lights when opened.

Why would you replace a fuse with the wrong amperage?

I will at least give you credit for knowing that was wrong
& could in some cases over heat & burn vehicle wiring

What was that going to do or prove?

Surely even with absolutely no vehicle knowledge
what so ever, you would would realize that you need
to have a shop check out or test the truck for short to ground,
poor grounding etc on the dome light & what ever gauge lighting
circuit issues you have

What is really sad, is the truck isn't very old & you want to
risk further issues with the fuse deal

All fuses good, manual operation good. Dome lights will not come on when doors are opened and my back up lights stoped working all at the same time

Fuse box on drivers side dash, lower right hand corner fuse marked "TBC-2B" (15A) controls dome and reverse lights
