Car shutting off when air condition is turn on causing it to stall

Hello. It seems your cars exhaust is 'restricted'; there is excessive back pressure at the engine. This will cause missing, stalling and hard to start conditions. Keep me informed; if you want to.

There are numerous conditions that can cause stalling. Tune up overdue. Air controll motor going bad, fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, severely clogged air filter, vacuume leak.

I'd suggest a proffessional Diagnosis a a reputable shop.

You need to find a mechanic that will actually scan your computer to see what each component of your engine and rest of your vehicle is doing, not just pull codes. There are sooo many things that could cause your issues...

Engine stalling and rough run issue at low speeds

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control

Sounds like the ac compressor has siezed up causing it to stall the engine.

Sounds more like a fuel / air problem. What is the condition of your O2 sensors? They could be reading incorrectly and causing a lean or rich condition.

If you have air conditioning, I'd check the A/C compressor to rule that out first. It has a very real potential to be going bad. The clutch on the compressor stops putting drag on the motor causing it to stall. Any high pitched squeal just before stalling? I know you're talking heat, and I'm talking A/C I realize that. Happens a lot on Windstars I've dealt with.

While the engine is running try tapping the mAF sensor with a wooden handle to see if that causes the engine to stumble or shut-off if it doesn't I would just clean it to see if that would solve your problem. You should also check and clean your throttle plate and throottle bore any carbon build up around the edges blocks off Idle air and can cause a stall condition.

Do the procedure below, do it exactly as discribed or it will not work.
Here is the common cause of surges, stalls at stops, slow idle speed, erratic idle speed, rough idle and engine hesitation (and other problems), it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake
