Sounds like dirty fuel filter or failing fuel pump.

1998 Nissan Altima, cranks up and runs fine until it gets warm, the spits and sputters to get going and when it is up to say 55-60 still jerks as if it is misfiring or there is a break in fuel pressure... have replaced knock sensor, cam shaft sensor, plugs, plugwires, dist cap rotor button, fuel filter, air filter , done oil change

2005 Nissan Altima jerks while driving, stops jerking when in neutral.

That usually happens if you're in too high a gear. If it also seems to accelerate slowly, you may have a fouled plug or other cause of a dead cylinder.

Car is jerking while driving on the highway and when car is stopped at a light it cuts off and the stern wheel gets stiff

the steering wheel gets stiff, because the car died and your power steering pump is stopped. beeing a 1994, you may have a fuel pump issue (nissan had campaign on those), but most likely no longer available to you, because of the age of the car. they purge campaigns out as years go on. you could have an issue with distributor. oil leaks pass the seal and gets inside of the distributor assembly on the signal plate (internal component of distribitor) and messes with the ignition system/spark plugs. you may also have a broken intake gasket. When was the last time you did a tune up?? changed plugs, fuel filter and so on???

Hello my nissan altima does sudden jerks going in long distances. In town it works just fine. When it jerks sometimes I have to let go of the axe and press the clutch or reduce acceleration. Sometimes it...

Almost sounds like fuel filter. Check with your local auto shop. They should carry the part and show you where it is located on your vehicle. Good luck.

2005 nissan altima heater blows cold air when stopped and blows hot air when going down the highway. What could be the problem?

Check your coolant level. If it is low, what you describe will happen. Water pump works faster as rpm's increase, managing to get hot coolant to heater core (highway speeds). At idle, pump is not working fast enough to get the coolant to the heater core.

Car jerks on freeway and engine shuts off.

It sounds like your Mass Air Flow Sensor is faulty. These sensors will normal show fault when cruising at highway speeds causing the vehicle to almost stall or stall. Replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with a known good one and test drive the vehicle. This will most likely repair your concern.
