it depends if its the 3.3 liter or the 3.8 liter. one of the motors is 5w30 and the other is 10w30 but to ensure this is correct. Look on your oil filler cap and it will display what oil you need to put in. Also make sure you buy the oil that you have been using. Like if you use synthetic you want to use synthetic oil or vice versa.
Buy a thermostat, a thermostat gasket, and some blue sealant (RTV) from any auto parts store. On the driver side of the engine, there is a radiator hose that connects to the engine just under the wires for the spark plugs. There are two bolts. Remove the bolts and pull off the hose. Some coolant will leak. Remove the old thermostat and gasket. Note how the thermostat is oriented so you can replace the same way. Put the gasket and thermostat back using some of the sealant and then re install the bolts.
Total cost is around 15-20 dollars. Feel good that you saved a few hundred bucks and only takes about 20-30 minutes.
Try output sensor for the transmission (it is similar to a vehicle speed sensor), these can control the speedo and shifting. Not sure if it does anything to the rpm guage, but very possible.
