They are located on the exhaust system some cars have two and some have four o2 sensors. they should be located any were from the exhaust manifold to the catalatic convertor and you should have at least one after the convertor

yes cos the engine is blowing oil out of the exhaust manifold onto the lambda probe(oxygen sensor)which
is reading unburnt fuel/sensor fault.drain oil ASAP.

the o2 sensors are locted in the exhaust system. upstream is before cat converter, downstream is after cat converter.
