There is one motor driving both wiper arms. If one side has stopped and the other side still works, it is likely that the point there the are connects to the drive is stripped or slipped off. Check at the point where the driver side wiper arm is attached to the drive / pivot point
If you don't hear the pump spinning or pumping then it's a possible bad electrical pump, or it's the wiring to it, a fuse, or the fluid is frozen in the pump if the weather is too cold (below 32 deg. F with 32 deg. F windshield wiper fluid).
when you open the fuse box cover the fuse in on top t word the passenger side of the box it is the 3rd over from the left which means start counting the top left fuse as #1 and so on it is #3 and is 30 amp
Pick up some Rain-X at the auto parts store and apply it to the glas, In fact aplly it to all glass on your vehicle Make sure glass is clean and dry before applying. You will be very satiafied with how water will run off.and the coating will help the wipers glide over the glass. Good luck Ned.. I used it on my motor home and was very satisfied that at times I didn't even need to use the wipers.
your actually talking about the single wipe mode arnt you?......... this is not a wiper motor issue. Its actually the relay, the relay is located behind the fuse box, behind the glove box. its grey. Happy hunting.
