hold the reset button on fascia, switch on ignition, release reset, press and hold button on end off indicator switch, repress reset button and hold, this should work it may not work if you have a diesel particulate filter fitted, because that has to be reset also so it can regenerate itself, in which case it has to be reset using suitable diagnostic equipment,
Stop by any good parts store or shop and have them do an OBII scan (fault scan) this will pull codes and they can reset the light also. Most will do it FREE
you can reset the engine warning light by taking the earth lead off the battery and connecting it to the positive lead, then switch on the ignition,. Reconnect the earth lead to the battery and the light will have been reset. What you are doing is discharging the diagnostic chip to earth, which is exactly what the jaguar main dealer equipment does.This works on all cars.
