You may have accidentally switched off the STC. Your car battery voltage may bee too low (this should remedy itself after a while driving). There may be damage to the breaks.

Best thing to do is to take it to the Volvo-service and let the guys check the system with their diagnostic software.

The best way here is to use the Volvo VIDA software and interface to get a readout on what the car is complaining about.

Look for an aftermarket Volvo shop. They will have the computer interface and charge you less than the dealer to read the codes.

Dealers are expensive place to get parts, so be ready for that with your Volvo XC 90 2004. Try a local salvage yard, ebay, or some other web site to get a replacement part. Otherwise, expect about $100 to fix a broken taillight.
