My 2006 runs rough and the check engine light is on. It flashes 4 times, then stays solid a bit, then repeats

before you take it to the shop go to an auto parts store and they will scan it for free and tell you the problem

Usually with the newer vehicles when it starts to run rough or idle poorly it's time for a tune up, that will also make the check engine light come on on some vehicles, it needing an oil change can also cause the light

Hello I have a 2007 Magnum 2.7L that has code p0302 cylinder#2 misfire seems to have coolant loss but can find no leaks. Recently had another code p0300, so both are active check engine light started flashing but stop and stayed solid. Not driving it. Replaced spark plugs should I replace coils? Any feedback please.

The trans is shifting rough due to the engine issue. Is CEL light on? DTC codes?

Check Engine Light flashing or solid on?

Timing is off, did you replace the wires as well? Check the timing?

Check each cylinder using a timing light.
Check each cylinder using a noid test tool
If the light flashes while the engine is runing the spark to the cylinder is good.
If the noid lights up while the engine is running the fuel injectors are good.

Has a missfire problem

Try this:
5. If “AIR BAG” warning lamp operates as [as I said before], turn ignition switch “OFF” to reset from Diagnosis mode
1. Turn ignition switch “ON”.
2. After “AIR BAG” warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, [i.e. when it stops running solid and starts flashing] turn ignition switch “OFF” within 1 second. [DO NOT SWITCH IT TO LOCK, SWITCH IT TO ACC]
3. Wait more than 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1 to 3 two times. (Perform 3 times in total.)
5. Turn ignition switch “ON”.
SRS is now in Diagnosis mode.
Try it a few times. If you can't get it to work, have someone else try. If you STILL can't get it to work, check your battery voltage. It might be low.
In diagnosis mode, you're going to hope the light flashes slowly. 2 seconds off, 3 seconds on, and repeats. If your light does this, this means that the computer detected a previous error that hasn't been erased. This is good.
to User mode and to erase the memory of the malfunction.
