IF LAMP GROUND PIN READS 12VDC <<< GROUND FAILS.

LEFT LAMP USES GROUND LUG G101. IF R

CAR HAS DRL. SO DRL AND MANUAL LAMPS FAIL
HIGH , LOW , AND FLASH HIGH>? NOT TOLD
DOES ENGINE RUN? OMG NOT TOLD.

DRL HOT ONLY IN DRL MODE.
DRL; HAS A SUN SENSOR (AUTO MODE)

Dipped probably means low beam . If the bulb is good you need to check for power and ground to the bulb connection .

It could be a broken wire on the wire harness or a bad fuse.

Yes the lights are seperately fused.

check the earth wire near to the battery. and fuse box.

well all i can say is he is not much of a mechanic for not fixing it for you so i suggest you find a better one ,sorry to sound so hard but ?? Their is always a way around any problem if going back to basics to know the problem ,no power ? then re run a new cable from the switch ,easy or am i being over simplistic here.What would have happened if i hadnt got the lorries to run and be on the road when the drivers start work at 07.00 in the morning .i would have been out of work ,fired ,sacked or whatever you want to call it

Check power at both headlights. Often one goes out and you don't notice till the other goes out. if both have power change the bulbs...if not check the switch and fuses as well as the dimmer switch.

The most common fault is ground use a test light at the plug it should show you what is missing. Most garages should be able to hande it in about an hour.

Might as well check the orange headlight control unit first, as it is an extremely common issue, and will only take you 20 minutes. Here is a step by step tutorial with pictures to examine and repair it. The tutorial is from a 1995 900 but is fully applicable to your car.
