P 0470 is "EGR boost sensor" failure. replacement of the sensor without further diagnosis will most likley end with the check engine light still burning brightly. pull the egr valve off of the intake. the bottom port is exhaust pressure. the top runs through the lower and upper intake to just behind the throttle body. chances are the port through the intake is completely plugged with carbon. split the upper and lower intake and clean the egr passages. a good carb and choke cleaner and a stiff wire will break up most of the carbon.

I have a p0400diagnostic code egr. what dose this mean I've just bought the manual but I cant find it ford focus 06

P0400 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow Description: The electric EGR (EEGR) system is monitored once per drive cycle during steady state conditions above 77 km/h (48 mph). The test fails when a concern is detected by powertrain control module (PCM) calculations indicating the EGR flow is less or greater than expected. Possible Causes:
  • EEGR valve stuck open or closed
  • Connector to EEGR not seated
  • EEGR motor winding circuits short or open
  • No voltage to the EEGR
  • Harness open or shorted to voltage or ground
  • Vacuum signal to manifold absolute pressure (MAP) restricted or leaking
  • Mass air flow (MAF) sensor signal erroneous
  • Carbon build up in the EEGR valve seat area
  • One or more sensors is not responding or is out of range
Diagnostic Aids: All of the following sensors input data to the PCM for correct operation of the EEGR system: engine coolant temperature (ECT), crankshaft position (CKP), intake air temperature (IAT), MAF, throttle position (TP), MAP. Any DTC relating to these sensors must be resolved prior to addressing code P0400. Application Key On Engine Off Key On Engine Running Continuous Memory All GO to Pinpoint Test KD . 99 maxima ran till it was parked now it turns over will not start gave code p0400 any ideas

The fault is somewhere around the EGR valve - probably the EGR valve or the throttle position sensor.

Before replacing any sensors try removing and cleaning the EGR.

Here's a Youtube link that may be of help to you:

I'm getting P0400 and P0235 on Renault Logan

P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction
P0235 Turbocharger Supercharger Boost Sensor Circuit Malfunction

I would say the EGR Valve is faulty- stuck open. I think the second code ( P0235) is being generated due to the EGR problem.

Wat does code p1400 means

In order to give you accurate information. I need size of engine example 2.0 L 3.0L. but code P1400 means Differential Pressure feedback EGR circuit low input. Maybe your differential oil is low.

Missing, stalling Pontiac Sunfire

The OBD II code for P0400 is Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction.
I'm sure the only thing you have left is you may have to replace the EGR valve or check for any leak from the vaccum lines going to to EGR valve.

MERCURY 2000 ODB2 CODES P0400, P00A0, P0401

P00A0 is a factory readable only code (i.e. only ford dealers have the computer to read it)
the P0400 is a generic E.G.R. flow restriction code. so yes a dvom (multimeter) and a vacuum pump to diagnose it correctly, also check for loose wires as ford harness connectors are known to fail alot due to crappy phenolic content in the plastic and heat combined they can warp and / or corrode the contacts
