Hello kngbush. The filter is mounted inside the frame rail just ahead of the fuel tank. Be cautious changing it because there is pressure in the lines. I wrap a shop cloth around the fitting when undoing it. Keep a good sized drain pan handy, keep any items away that could cause a spark or flame. A fire extinguisher would be very good thing to have as well.
You dont have a external fuel filter. Its build into the fuel pump and is located inside the gas tank with it. It is designed to last as long as your fuel pump does.
Inline located on frame rail just after fuel tank, will have 3 hoses attached to it, it is a flex fuel vehicle with a flex fuel filter cost about $99.00 from GM and about $ 70.00 from Kragens with a Fram aftermarket filter which is of equal quality... Hope this helps...
