Diagram or how to put back together 97 Chevy lumina

If I remember right, there is a long rod that goes from the lock cylinder into the back of the actual latch. Make sure that rod is in the latch.

I AM PUTTING ON NEW REAR STEEL BRAKE LINES FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER, TO THE REAR WHEELS ON MY 1998 CHEVY LUMINA. I NEED TO KNOW, DO THE TOP 2 OR LOWER 2 OUTLETS FEED THE REAR OF THE CAR?

Hi. I read your inquiry but I'm unsure of what your asking. The brake lines don't go straight to the brakes. What are you asking about "two upper and two lower"? These lines can not be confused. From the master, the two supply lines run to the ABS module. From the ABS module four different lines run out to each wheel. If your interested. eBay sells a complete pre-bent brake line kit. eBay Product Number: 3015274614 You could also call your local part store for availability or if you have the tools. You can save the money and bend them. I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any other information. Good Luck.

Rear brake shoe replacement on a 98 chevy 3500 dually

If you have drums on the rer yes you do have to remove the axle its simple though you unbolt the 6-8 bolts on the end of the axle then it just simply slides out thats it there mite be some resistance but there isnt anything else holding it in. and you dont have to worry about putting it back into the same spot eather just slide it back in and line up the drum.

I need to put pads and rotors on lumina i need a refresher to takeing pads and rotors

Pads and rotors are easy. You will have to take the tire off. There will be two bolts on the back side of the calipers. You will need a large allen wrench to remove them. Once you get the calipers loose, you can swap out the pads. The rotors will slid off the axle itself without having to take anything else loose. When you put the calipers back in place, tighten the bolts you removed. After you get everything put back together, make sure you pump your brakes till they get tight BEFORE and AFTER you start your vehicle. You need to test your brakes out before you drive off. The bolts are self tightening.

Can I use a different model year door mirror on a 98 chevy lumina

Door mirrors on chevrolets tend to be model and year specific. the auto recycler can tell you for sure since most carry a book which shows what parts will interchange with what car.

Chevy lumina, lost keys, broke ignition, need to fix the wires

Solder and shrink tubing work fine for that. That is for the pk2 theft module that tells the car that you are using the correct key with the chip in it.

1998 buick skylark rear brake repair diagram

Compare the setup with the way they are arranged on the opposite wheel. I always recommend doing one wheel at a time with drum brakes, that way you can always walk to the other side and see how the springs are arranged.
