No electrical power from 1999 Honda Accord with ignition turned on. No lights in dash. Battery is new. Trying to locate main fuse to see if this is the problem. Any ideas or possible solutions welcomed. Car does have a remote starter installed--don't know if this could be the problem..Please Help....

The problem is with "no electrical power" at all as if the battery is not there at all, or non existent ignition switch, thats why I was looking for the main fuse which I believe I've found, but it appears to be ok. I have a remote starter installed and was thing that that may be suspect (just guessing). however to reiterate there is absolutely no power when the ignition switch is turned on, no dash lights no starter indication no click, no power at all.. Help.....

Thanks Arauz, however I did find the main fuse, it appeared to be ok, in-fact I placed a temporary jumper across the fuse location with the same results, so this tells me that the fuse is good,( I didn't have a test light so I performed the test mentioned above). I believe that it is probably/ somehow due to the remote starter or I read somewhere that some 1999 Honda Accord's have a problem with the ignition switch. I am a bit confused/perplexed. The auto belongs to my sister who does not reside close so I don't have 24hr access to it. she said that just prior to the car starting to act up, all she had done was to try and start it with her remote starter, the lights in the dash started to flash on and off and she had to get a jump start. she since had the battery changed but the system still does not produce any electrical power. NO LIGHTS in dash, no ignition , nothing....

OK Check if the cables out of the battery are connected and the positive cable has 2 wires going to a thick one starter and the fusiblesotro box is thinner than that feeds the fuse box the cable many times is somewhere near the battery product of sulphate in the input of the fuse box is a main fuse is the fuse that feeds the entire vehicle that is in the fuse box that is in the engine

    Ok
if you have a test light you can try if current in the main test
fuse.otra very important thing if the engine and body have good
    polarity.
    also
when you installed the remote start system saves you from where they
logged on the system because these systems bring relay and they cut the
line leaving the SWICHT to the ignition and the starter may be out
there may have a problem you can see the
    connections
they made to the remote start system, if so send me another comment and
Talves disconnect and drop it as era.thanks and I hope your results

My honda marks the battery even though we bought a new battery and alternator. And nothing electrical inside the car turns on. What is the problem?

Check your main or maxi fuses. If an older car, there may be fusible links between the battery and the power distribution. There should be ignition fuses that supply power to the ignition switch. These fuses would be hot at all times, so take a test light, ground it to battery negative, and check if the fuses have power to them. Pull one fuse out, touch the tester probe into both terminals the fuse plugs into. If one terminal lights up the test light, then that fuse is getting power. If the fuse is good, power will pass on to whatever is on that circuit. If it's an ignition fuse, the ignition switch should have power to it (if the wiring is good), and turning the key to on, should send power out to the dash and to the engine.

Be systematic-follow the power from the battery to the fuse/relay box to the ignition switch. Don't forget the importance of ground in any circuit: if a circuit doesn't work, check power and ground. Check your battery ground for a clean, tight connection, from battery negative post to frame ground.

What happens when dash board light dont come on

First and foremost does the car start or run? If it does check your manual for location of fuse box and check fuses. If it does not run check your battery connections, and have your battery checked for charge. Now if you are talking about dashboard illumination, check the switch that turns dashboard lights up and down. you might look under dash and check for a loose connection. And if all else fails take it to a qualified Honda service facilities (you might have a short) have the wiring harness checked.

Electrical problems new batery no power

Need more information. But if the battery is fully charged and no power to the ignition switch first step is to check the connection on battery terminal for corrosion and the main fuse in the fuse box.

Dash door and brake warning lights on; car won'tstart; seems like no gass.

There is an ECM to control the starting and running of the engine but it seldom is the problem.

First you need to isolate if it is mechanical, electrical or fuel that is causing the problem.

Remove the distributor cap and crank the engine, if the rotor turns, we can skip mechanical.

Before checking any electricals, check if there are any blown fuses both under dash and hood.

Check for power supply to distributor Black/Yellow wire with ignition switch on. If there is, pull 1 plug wire out and insert a plug to its end and ground it on the engine, NEVER groud it to the battery terminals.

Crank the engine and if you see blue sparks it is ok, reddish or yellow sparks means the coils is bad.

If no sparks, the ICM is faulty.

Test for power supply to fuel pump at initial ignition switch turned on, (2 seconds only) and while cranking. If none, the main relay is faulty.

Take care

1993 honda accord ex drove in rain belt squeeled

Sounds like maybe the ECU had taken in some water. Is your ECM located behind the engine on the firewall? There are two large fuses located on the passenger side wheel well in the engine bay. They are two large (2" plastic covers) over them.

Car turns over, but engine won't "catch" ... If i let it "rest for awhile, and try restarting it usually will start. Battery is new, filter new,...?????

either the main relay under the dash above the fuse box or the ignition switch in the steering column (the solder in both of these components can be affected by high temp int the car, when it cools down, the electrical connection works again.
