Bleed your fuel system. There is usually a bleeder valve on the fuel filter or somewhere round there. You can also disconnect the fuel supply line from the cylinder and try starting until fuel starts flowing out. The glow plugs which serve the same purpose as spark plugs in a gas vehicle need to be replaced. This should fix the problem.

Is there a fuel pump reset on a 01 TDI jetta ? I ran out of diesel AMD now it won't start

When diesels run out of fuel they fill the lines with air. To get it to start you have to bleed the air out of the system starting at the fuel filter pump and any where else there is a bleed screw. IF you have or can get your hands on a owners manual or a work shop manual for your car then the process and location of bleeders will be explained.

My 2002 vw jetta diesel tdi had a recent oil change and I just checked the oil and it is way high. If I drive it will it mess the car up? I have driven it already but I'm really worried.

If it is grossly overfilled it can damage the engine as well as **** oil into the air cleaner and then the engine, on a diesel this can cause a run away engine because a diesel will burn the oil like fuel.

2002 volkswagen jetta diesel ran out of fuel. Put fuel in the tank but the car wont start.

That's what happens to diesel car when they ran out of Diesel, they the pump sucks air in then you have to Purge the line until the air is out. Good luck

Change fuel filter on 2002 jetta tdi ?

PROCEDURE TO CHANGE FUEL FILTER
1) open the drivers side door pull the hood release.
2) lift up the hood, ideally your car has been off for a few hours so it's not too hot under tehre.
3) look to your left there's a cylander with four hoses coming in and out of it. (two in, two out)
4) pull the mickey mouse looking pin from the two hoses that are in the back. the little circular thing should pop out with a little bit of effort.
5) look inside the fuel filter, doesn't it look gross? Aren't you glad your changing it? (most of the time it's going to look gross even if it's in good shape
6) Pull the squeeze clamps back from the other two hoses (the front two)
7) carefully pull those hoses away from the fuel filter (they both will probably have a little gas in them)
8) unscrew the phillips screw to the right of the few filter and remove the fuel filter'

From here you can try just draining the water from the filter and seeing if that solves your problem or you can replace the fuel filter.

9) the most important thing is to remember to put some diesel inside the fuel filter before you start your car other wise it'll be alot more difficult to start.

10) put everything back in place and start your car.

You'll probably have a little difficulty at first , but if you just keep cranking it (don't be afraid diesels are tough!) the car should start in less then 2 minutes. Obviously use common sense here but it shouldn't be too bad.

My diesel engine on my VW TDI Jetta is having a hard time turning over. It takes forever to start and seems to be getting worse.

Have someone replace your fuel filters ($$$) and put a bottle of "Lucas Diesel Additive" available at Advance Auto Parts $8
P.S. If you have PREMIUM Diesel available in your area (BP-Chevron) run that for a couple of tanks.
Good Luck

I have air coming into the fuel system on my jetta diesel

NO it does not have a fuel pump in the tank. It uses vaccum.
and if their are tiny bubbles in the clear line coming from the fuel filter to the injection pump that is normal. Even when the car is not running it is normal to see bubbles in the line. hope this helps.
