when you lock it up does the alarm activate you say this problem only started after changing battery sounds like its the mobiliser lock and open car from inside with key in ignition hope this helps
I have the same problem sometimes
1 Check the condition of your battery, if old, it will not give full power required to communicate with the security system.
2 If you don't have the EKA of your RR, try this next time you get caught, put key in the drivers door look, press unlock button on key fob and at the same time turn to unlock, if all locks unlock then the engine should not be immobilized - Good luck
Lock doors with the key. Take out key . Insert key open and close lock 5 times then on the fifth turn open door this will reset the disable code to normal . I had this code on my P38 Range Rover and the Rover Tech assisted me with this simple way to reset the engine disable fault code . Good Luck .
What model rover ?? these cars have a pecular trait and that is if the key is left in with ignition on for more than 30 secs then immobilisor comes on and can only be released with the fob by locking and unlocking the car with the fob ,If no parts available then in a box somewhere i have all the computer /transponder ,key ,fob and the key code number as well for a 99 rover 400 which i can post to you .Although in the past i have by-passed the immobilisor by bridging a big transistor collector and emmiter connections same as i have done with a escort and a focus as well ,the dammed renaults you get it started then cut the third wire on the transponder while its running .But this isnt helping you ,use the FOB and make sure the key has a chip in it and it hasnt lost the chip
No idea here to be honest i think you have two seperate problems here so firstly try entering the radio code as i think you have disconnected the battery ,now as for the non starting then look in the book that came with the vehicle and their should be a code for the key to reprogramme the immobilisor where you turn the key in the lock so many times to the left and right to release it and only these vehicles have this except some rovers which are now defunct as you no doubt know .
I suggest you to change that. Because very initially it makes problem. I found a site they are providing best Land Rover Range Rover part. It may be help ful for you.
