94 Toyota pickup starter issues

The usual cause of this is a dying battery, which has enough charge to pull in the starter solenoid (the click), but not always enough to crank the engine. This is because such a battery cannot hold a good charge for very long.

If you feel your battery is definitely OK then it would be the large contacts at the bottom of the starter solenoid, which are worn out. The solenoid pulls in but contact is made only intermittently. I had a Toyota once which did that.

hello, it sounds like the alternator is the problem, most auto parts stores can check the alternator/charging system at no charge without removing it from the truck, I'm sure you will find that the alternator needs to be replaced.

Type of oil for 94 v6 3.0 toyota 4x4

Your truck is going to take about 5.5 quarts.
Since your motor have some high miles on it, I would use non-synthetic 10w-30 oil that has the high mileage formula.
Synthetic will cause leaks on an old engine because the molecules are smaller and will go through gaskets easily.
High mileage formula will help recondition the gaskets.

Truck won't start, new battery, lights keep flashing

Sometimes the new battery is not 100% charged. Put it on a charger or jump start the car, the alternator should then charge up the battery.
