Location of windshield washer on 1997 saab 900s

faulty crank position sensor is likely. No pulse from sensor to ECU, no activation of fuel pump, no fuel no start. The insulation in the inductive coil of the sensor breaks , and the sensor fails with age.

i had the same problem...i replaced battery with a heavy duty battery...it now works and is faster...

The switch needs to be replaced and it requires some special tools if it's in the steering column. If it's on the floor any shade tree mechanic can do it.

I'm afraid if you don't have the code, you will have to take it to a local dealer or specialist radio store to have it re-coded.

Fortunately, it's not expensive.

You know where the windshield washer fluid tank is ? if so remove it the windshield washer pump is located at the bottom of it.
