drill a hole in the center of the plate with a10 in. hole cut saw this will let you get to the top of the tank. put a very wet watered down thick blanket on top of gas tank before drilling and drain tank of all the gas you can and vent tank to get out all the fumes you can. after drilling hole this will let you get to top of tank to take out the fuel tank top to get to fuel pump takes about 1 hour to do this then you can get to fuel pump easily to replace. If you take down the tank you are looking for about 6hr+of hard work or $3000 at a dealer ship plus parts. did the drilling and replaced the fuel pump in about @ hours .
