My father inlaw just purchased a 2001 lincoln, with a six disc changer, Question is he loaded the unit ,and now he wants to eject the cd's and the changer won't open? any suggestions thanks

Unhook battery for 30 minutes; no less. Next day, start CD player and eject all CDs. If any of them are 'home-made', don't use them again. Worked for me. I don't know why it didn't work immediately; I just know that the next time I started the car, it worked.

Eric, you'll need to check power and ground at the CD Player Connector. If it has both power and ground then you need a new CD Player. If it doesn't have either power or ground, which ever one it deosn't have you'll need to find out where it gets it power from OR where it gets its ground from and repair it. Hi May, I am not a mechanic but had a similar problem w/ my cd player in the car. I was instructed to insert a credit card under the cd near the center and it would pop out. Thisworked for me.

My cd player keeps saying error but all the radio functions and inside controls are working fine. I looked and can not see any jammed cd's but i know that there are at least 3 out of 6 discs in the...
this means the cd mechanism is defective. Try to find a replacement.
If you try a salvage yard, you may find a bargain. I wouldn't get the radio from the dealer unless I had a lot of money to throw around for it.

It probably costs over $800 for the radio from there.
Salvage yards cost probably less than 1/4 that.

No codes on an LS. Just checked my manuals and called the dealer for you. Some 99 on fords do,not yours. You have to pay diagnostic time for scanner hook up and entertainment troubleshooting, dealer or local shop. eg; your radio broke!

Cd player will not eject holds 6 cd 2001 ls licoln says cd error
This happens to me as well, usually if you press and hold the eject button all of the cd's will be ejected. A couple of times I had to use another cd to kind of slide underneath the stuck cd to assist with it ejecting while I pressed the eject button.

Cd player saying error and wont do anything
This means that there is an issue with the laser lens of your player,
pls check for any obstructions as these type of errors do occur if the tractor has been mis align and that your player would probably need to be serviced to check anything that is inside that might be causing the error. so sorry dude no other recourse for that..

you really need to take the cd changer out of the dash,and then open the cd changer ,is one of you cds is making the problem,ones is remove it should be working fine,good luck
