How to remove interior door panel on 2006 c6 corvette

sounds like linkage disconnected it will be annoying but need to remove panel it can be done but time consuming

Sounds like the linkage for the interior door handle or lock mechanism has either broken or become disconnected. You will need to remove the interior door panel to inspect these parts.

After clearing the codes, the check engine light comes back on?

they aren't easy. hidden screws where the handle is inside and at door handle and sometimes behind the red light or reflector at the back of the door. after you find all of the screws you usually have to pick up on the door panel. and I have seen techs with lots of experience have problems getting these door panels off. so good luck.

its fairly easy to remove the panel there are 2 torque screws behind a small plastic cover behind the hand grip the panels for the pwr windows and the door handel bezel lift off just disconnect the wires and the panel pulls off start at the bottom

The problem is with the door switch. It should be mounted on the door post. You either have a bad switch or a broken wire.

Does it go all the way up when door open, then close it and seals good?

You probably have some to pull the battery connections for about 10 mins... If that don't fix it then you have a fuel problem

My C6 vette does this when I have pressed the little round buttons right beside those lights and forgotten to turn them back off. Try just pressing both of them (on both sides of the bottom of the rearview mirror) and then closing the doors.
