The Temperature Control Head is the unit in the dash that displays temperature and status of the climate control system. This unit is known to fail. I replaced mine with another one--used--and it solved the problem.
Hello,
This is how you go about it:
Normally, you would insert the key in the drivers door, turn left, then right to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning, you can disable it for good by doing the following:
The FACTORY ALARM DISARM is the lt.green/orange 20 gauge |-| negative wire in either kick panel, at the door harness. That's the area behind the plastic coverings at your left leg area, or at the same spot on the passenger side.
Once Located, splice into this wire with a simular guage wire, and put it to a solid chassis ground. This terminates the alarm functions entirely.
However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly easy to steel. It's up to you to protect it from here on in.
My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website www.reliable-store.com that i used to get manuals from, and they have all models online.
I also brought for my 1989 BMW, such old model, they
had it and it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.
