I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE and the check engine light has been on for several days. I took it to Auto Zone and they plugged in their tester. They gave me the following codes - P1776 and P0700. Please tell me what I need to fix and/or replace.

P0700 code is a generic code for Transmission Control System Malfunction

P1776 code means your solenoid switch valve is stuck in low reverse. (DTC 47) A stuck solenoid switch valve is a common occurrence in the valve body of the Dodge 41te transmission.

The first step would be to check the wiring to the solenoid from the TCM, then maybe try a new solenoid pack if the wiring is determined to be fine.

SOURCE: I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE and the check

I recommend changing your transmission fluid to see if that helps solve the issue....

Otherwise, you may have to change the solenoid pack as the screen filter in it will clog, and stick the solenoids.

2000 dodge intrepid stalls out while driving and sitting in red light why

Dodge 2000 Intrepid stalling on Traffic Light - This is caused by either wrong amount of Fuel or Air mixing in Idle condition. Please check fuel pressure at Idle which should be at least 38 psi and should go up when you press the accelerator. If fuel pressure is okay then Clean out the Throttle body carefully. This should solve the problem if no Check engine light is on. If Check engine light is on then please confirm and give me the codes present in On Board Diagnostic port (Auto Zone or Advance Auto will read the codes free for you) and we will go from there.

Check engine light on

erase code again , then disconnect battery for a few minutes, reconnect, see if code comes back. hopefully this resets computer. you don\'t have a reset button on steering wheel do you ? replace your fuel filter, if you haven\'t lately. maybe that will help.

P032 and P0462 code on a 2002 dodge intrepid

typical mechanic
misfiring in injected engines is more from bad injectors that plugs , leads and coils
run a can or quality injector cleaner through the system and if it doesn't improve in a few miles , have the injector serviced

My 2004 dodge intrepid is leaking coolant. No hose seem to be leaking can't tell where it's coming from. Not running hot just continue to leak

you need to rent a coolant pressure tester from your local auto parts store and pressurize the system so thet you'll be able to see the leak without dealing with all the engine noise and fan running, note top off rad with distilled water, and make sure its completely full for best results.

1998 dodge intrepid engine keeps draining battery

Go to a part store such as Auto Zone and they will LOAD test the battery for free. If like Dodge said its the battery go back where you bought it and demand a new one. If its not the battery go back to Dodge and complain that you payed for them to fix the problem and they didn't.

1997 dodge intrepid

try getting a new fuel pump since you already changed the filter, take it in to Checker or Auto Zone and have them test your battery for free, if you have any mechanic buddies with a compression tester, have them test your compression, as you may be having a missfire in one of your cylinders. Also if none of this works, try getting new fuel injectors as well.

Hope this helps :)
