Ok I?m getting a p1297 code and then I?ll start getting po301 If I erase the codes then start the car and let it idle ill get the po300 po301 po302 po303 Then drive the car ill get the p1297 If I erase then drive ill get the p1297 first then the po301 and so on I?m looking for a vacuum Leak but can?t find one I?m changing the coil packs around but it isn?t changing anything the car Drives great but has a slight miss at an idle can anyone give me a clue as to what to look for or What to do next it?s an 2001 VW beetle 1.8 turbo

Clean the EGR valve seat. The EGR may have become stuck. A good way to check for vacuum leaks is to use smoke near every intake vacuun hose . And near the intake manifold. The valve will **** in the smoke. If you clean the EGR valve and it still misses. Replace it. The EGR can cause random misfire.

All that has been done, replaced egr valve still has codes PO 171 PO 300 01 02 03 and P1297 any other cures

PO300 and P1399 are random cylinder misfire detected.
PO301 cylinder 1 misfire
PO302 cylinder 2 misfire
PO304 cylinder 4 misfire

Get your ECM replaced. Usually it's next to battery or inside front fenders. The rain must have shorted out connections and fried ECM. Engine will sputter until it is done. Usually autozone, advance auto, or dealer has ECM.

02 hyundai accent engine quit running won t start codes come up po300 po301 po302 not familiar with 4 cylnders when turning over sounds like no compression
codes p 0300 is random misfires and codes p0301,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 are the cylinders that are misfiring
so un you statement the problem cylinders are 1 and 2
misfires are normally problem injectors and low fuel pressures so have the fuel pressure checked to make sure that the pump is running correctly, the pressure regulator is operating correctly ans the EVAP system is venting the tank correctly
use a couple of injector cleaner in the tank to clean the injectors

its like you have cylnder misfire or more , did you check all the wire .plug if any one bad or the wire have fire , and you check if the fuel pump good . i would like to ask you that , Did the problem come on suddenly or was some previous action or work done......

P0300 - Combination misfire detected
P0301 - Cyl 1 misfire
P0302 - Cyl 2 misfire

If it has a lot of miles it needs a tune up.
Fill tank with high quality premium fuel

usually a p0300 is a random missfire code due to a fuel problem probaly bad gas , use some in tank fuel treatment such as techron or lucas injector cleaner, after adding fuel disconnect negative terminal to batt, to clear codes and see what happens
