The horn and rear brake lights are on the same fuse. Eventually the horns rust out like on my 1998 CRV. Once I replaced the horns, I could put in a new fuse without it blowing every time I sounded the horn. Problems still remain, namely: the cruise control does not engage and the remote start only starts the engine that runs for two seconds then dies. Still looking for an answer. It's a "Code Alarm" with Codestart dated 11/24/99.

Same issue for me think I've solved the problem. SRS cable reel in the steering column has bad connectors causing this problem. Horn and brake lights not working or blowing fuses randomly. Change brake fuse and then press horn to see if it works or causes a fuse to blow. If so its your SRS CABLE REEL OR CLOCKSPRING!!! CHANGE IT!!!

I think you are having problems with short on brake switch, that is also causing other part of system to kick the fuses out.Brake switch is located on the top of brake pedal,it is only electronic piece there..Also, it could be electronic board on the brake light. If that was the case, you will have to replace rear brake light electronic board or housing.

My Honda 98 Ex's horn wont honk and stuck in park... The brake lights are not coming on but the parking lights are lighting up! What could the problem be?

Sounds like a blown fuse. There's a lock solenoid for your shifter that is activated through your brake light switch. Sounds like these issues are all related

1993 Honda accord EX no brake lights

This sounds like Brake Light Switch, can be found at any local parts store, for under $15 and easy enough to replace. The switch is located under the brake pedal and depresses when you hit the brakes, causing the brake lights to turn on. Replacing this is cheap and easy.

92 Honda Accord Brake Lights, Shifter, Cruise, Horn does not work

You may have a bad ground on that side. Look at all the wiring back there and see if there is any corrosion. Some times you can find the ground wire and run a new ground. Unlike the power lead, you can add a ground anywhere in the system with no impact on the integrity.

Brake lights not working

Having the sa but haven't replaces the brake switch. The owner's manual for my 99 accord indicates the the fuse is located behind a panel that is viewable when you open the door on the driver's side. There is a panel that you remove (pull off) to expose the fuses. The brake light fuse is the third one from the top on the left. 7.5 A

Cruse controll

Pull up on the brake pedal. If that does not work check your brake light bulbs (LED brake lights will also keep your cruise control form working). Finally check all of the fuses. This system needs at least 3 different fuses to work properly.
